Comment: Our book group read Hotel on the Corner...also! Then I passed in on to my cousin who will be visiting next month. She wants to go to Manzanar. It is now a Natl Historic Site. We have been there a few times. My husband as a baby was interred in Jerome Arkansas with his family. Thanks for the card. It is an interesting place.

I love the stones I received, especially the one from Ireland, but unfortunately this was only half the swap.
Response: I was hoping that the ireland piece would take the place of jewelry because it was supposed to make your life better but I guess it didn't work as well as I had hoped.

Response: I guess I didn't think anyone would be interested. The Library is in Nevada City. I did the Lord of The Rings chair. I read LOTR's when I was 22 and I read all 3 books (& Hobbit) 3 times in a row because I fell under their spell.

Comment: A few answers left me a little shocked, like Austria--> Hitler (he was German), but the other were pretty nice. I just have a question: why France--> confusion? LOL I'm so curious to know it =)
Response: My uncle fought in Austria during World War 2 trying to get the German troops to leave. Hitler was from Germany but he occupied many countries. I could have had him listed in other countries but felt that would have been tedious. I was born right after the war so we had a lot about Hitler in school. Also, I want France to like the United States but I don't think they do very much? It is hard to know about this since I haven't traveled there myself to find out first hand. I can only relate to some of the countries without first hand knowledge of them just books I have read, movies I have seen or when friends have traveled there and told me about them.

Comment: Hi, Thank you for the comment on my profile. I hope you do get to Colorado. We have Rocky Mtn. Nat'l. Park. My family used to own a cabin in the park, but the family grew & grew, so we sold it and split the money. We loved it up there in the town of Grand Lake. Sadly, I've heard that the pine trees are in bad condition due to disease. When you visit, keep in mind that they are usually beautiful. The lake in the town is lovely. Also, be sure to travel over Trail Ridge Road into the town of Estes Park. It is special. You will love the area. jean

You told me in your postcard that you were eating blueberries...i love berries, but all kind of berries sell in Malaysia are very expensive, because all are imported. Local fruits king are Durian, but its seasonal, and now is the season. I don't like it, because its smelly!
