Description:

An Apothecary is an archaic word meaning pharamacist, so an Apothecary Cabinet is simply the place where the pharamacist stores his medicines/chemicals/medical tools etc. I have been fascinated with these since I can remember.

So I thought a handmade PC that looks like a apothecary cabinet would be fun.

  • 1 partner - 1 Handmade PC

  • The front should look as if you were looking into the actual cabinet and able to see all the VINTAGE/OLD/MACABRE goodies inside it. HERE - HERE and HERE are a few examples.

  • Any medium you would like. . .hand-drawn, painted, collaged it is up to you as long as the "feel" of the PC is old and eerie.

  • Absolutely 100% Sender's Choice. So you can get this done and set it aside until time to mail. : )

Please post in the comment area if you are able to send/receive naked handmade PCs ( I know some parts of the world can't). Your partner will cater the way they mail it for you and will understand if you have to mail it in an envie. I just don't want anyone to feel excluded

Also if you have any questions, just post them. Other people probably have the same questions. I am sure I forgot some key elements, although most of you in this group have joined my swaps before. LOL.

I am setting a long sign up deadline, because I don't want to risk the Holiday Mail Hoopla that is coming up soon. So...you have plenty of time to join and create.

Hey Paige if we send naked we can"t add what we want as embellishments do you agree?

You can send embellished PCs through the mail "naked", You just have to make sure you have your post office mark it as Hand-Cancel only. Also make sure that you use "mostly" flattish embellishments.

Oops I also meant to add to make sure you use a really good glue.

I sent an envelope through the mail earlier this year (to Canada!) with small seashells glued all over it. I was both amazed and relieved when it arrived intact. :D

I am able to send/receive naked mail. I will take Timothy Olyphant naked please! Dressed as Raylan! But if his..um..large embellishments get in the way, he might have to be sent in an envelope.

Could I get mine in an envie, mine postcards have been torn the last 3 times I have received them, Could I get any man with big um big embellishments sent to me? :D
