I am not sure what to call this mug rug ~ hence Mash~up!

For this mug rug you will decide colors/size but it must have ~

1) Some kind of flower with a button center

2) A sewn square around your flower

3) Many different scrap pieces

4) Stitching all over

5) Edging

Like these mug rugs!

Does the flower have to be applique or can it be a printed flower with a (sewn) button?

Yes, you can use a fabric flower!
