It's Spool Block time. This is an easy, small block to make. It uses up small scraps, which is very good. The tutorial is found at: https://weddingdressblue.wordpress.com/2014/09/27/tutorial-spool-shuffle-quilt/ This month quilters will make 4 spool blocks of any color. The thread of the spool can be made from your skinny fabric strips, one piece of fabric or from selvedge edges. Use a cream or white for the background so when the blocks are sewn together it creates a soft scrappy background. The fabric color for the spool is your choice. Make 4 blocks of any color with white or cream background made by following the tutorial listed above. | |
