Description:

You will decorate an envelope using die cuts and any other medium that you wish. These can be store bought or the type that you make with a machine. The idea is to highlight the die cuts that you have chosen.

This is not a profile based swap.

Then you will write your partners a short note and include*** 5 or more die cuts*** in the envelope that you have decorated. Please do not send tiny die cuts only. Use good judgement here.

This is a one stamp swap, but if you are going whole hog, make sure that your postage is accurate.

This is an international swap and you will have 2 partners. I reserve the right to question any ones and threes and follow the rules of swap etiquette. I will angel if need be.

I made a light paper divider for my diecuts to insert in the business size envies that I have created so the cuts don't bulk up in the corner. I simply made pockets by stapling every approx 3 inches.

Love this idea, but I have had awful luck with die cuts staying glued to envelopes. What do you use to keep them adhered?

I plan on using matte medium, or a decoupage type glue to glue the die cuts on the envelope. It's easier for thinner papers to be glued this way...it can be done with thick decorative card stock too, but it likes to separate and bend up....you just need to push it down longer with the butt end of a paint brush or something;) Plus there are no glue smudges poking out of the die cuts if the whole envie has a layer;) Hope that helps!!

I use matte gel medium as well. Glad that @thevmatt spelled it out so well. I prefer the less liquid type and always use Golden brand.
