I have fallen in love with glue book pages. I mean...fallen in LOVE! So instead of making a standard journal page, let's make a glue book page. I'm going to start with a 4x6" page, because this size can stand alone, or it can be added to a "standard" 5x7" journal, with a border created by the owner of the journal. For this first page, I'm going to go with a "June romance" theme. June is the #1 month for weddings and all things romantic...roses, pearls, and so forth. You don't have to go with a wedding theme, of course...any sort of romantic theme will do. As a reminder, glue books are constructed of ONLY paper and flat embellishments...nothing dimensional. Feel free to use paints, rubber stamping, cut-out images, and other forms of flat loveliness. Pinterest has so many gorgeous examples of glue book pages...very inspiring. As a base, please use something lightweight and flexible (no cardboard this time), such as a portion of a manila file folder. | |
