I watched this YouTube video by Shanouki. It is a technique to make specimen cards without having to cut a hole in the middle of a piece of paper. Now I don't know about you, but I don't have a bunch of square punches because I've never felt the need for a punch to cut a square. However, when I discovered specimen cards I really wished I had some. I'm not great at cutting perfect squares in the middle of a card or piece of paper. The simple instructions she presents here make the project fun and easy. If you don't have a laminator, try using clear packing tape, contact paper or even a clear cellophane bag repurposed from a sticker pack, use what you have. Let's keep the specimen card sizes between 2.5x3.5in and 4x6in. You can put anything you want in the center; it doesn't have to be a Tim Holtz image. Again, use what you have. We will send 2 specimen cards to 1 partner. The theme will be sender's choice so you can begin working on them right away. I hope you will join this fun swap! ~Syndee | |
