I don't know about you, but I often find myself using the same adjectives over and over again. I need an adjective infusion! So here's an easy swap. Take a novel and open to page 20. Make a list of the first 20 adjectives you find. If your author isn't prone to description, you might need to go on to page 21 or 22--that's okay. Put your list on a postcard along with the title of the novel, its author, and your name/username. Then send it out--that's it! Please use a novel for this swap; I'm thinking that prose fiction will give us a good range of adjectives of many types. Any genre or literary period is fine. If your novel is in a language other than English, please include an English translation. You'll have 2 partners for this swap; you can use the same novel/list for both cards or not. It's up to you. Your postcard can be store-bought or home-made. For this swap it's okay to send a hand-made postcard in an envelope to protect it. And finally: 1) Newbies with completed profiles are welcome. 2) Anyone with a rating lower than 4.5 will be dropped. 3) This is an international swap. Let's have fun with adjectives! | |
