R&W: But have you read the book?

We've all heard that the book is better than the movie. But how many well known books made into movies have you read? I recently found the book But Have You Read the Book? by Kristen Lopez and I realized I had some movies to watch - and some books to read. I thought it might be a fun swap.

For this swap, find a movie/book set that you haven't watched/read both parts to (You saw the movie, but haven't read the book; you read the book but didn't see the movie). You can choose any era, genre, etc ... Choice is yours. After you have watched/read the title of your choice, write your partner a letter listing the titles, authors/directors, (include year for the movies) and tell your partner what you thought. Include a brief summary and tell your partner what you thought. Would you recommend either book or movie? Is there more than one adaptation for the book? And - which came first? The book or the movie?
