The Envelope Challenge Wheel

Some swap ideas are carefully planned.

This is not one of them.

For this swap, I will send every participant three completely random challenge words after sign-ups close. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create an envelope that somehow includes all three words.

For example, you might receive:

• Mushroom • Clock • Purple

Your envelope must feature all three somewhere in the design.

How you interpret the words is entirely up to you. You could draw them, paint them, collage them, stamp them, use themed papers, create a story around them, or somehow combine them into one wonderfully strange masterpiece.

A purple mushroom wearing a clock? Perfect.

A woodland scene where mushrooms tell the time? Also perfect.

A vintage purple clock made of mushrooms? Why not?

The more imaginative, the better!

The Envelope

Create one decorated or handmade envelope incorporating all three of your challenge words.

The envelope may be:

• Handmade • Decorated with stamps, stickers or collage • Painted or drawn • Digital and printed • Mail art

There is no right or wrong answer. The fun comes from seeing how differently everyone interprets the same challenge.

What to Include Inside

Please include a small note explaining how you used your three challenge words.

You may also include one small, flat item inspired by one of your words, such as:

• A bookmark • A sticker • A mini piece of artwork • A quote card • A tiny story • A recipe • A fun fact

Please keep any extras flat and lightweight so the swap remains suitable for standard letter postage.

I'll leave a couple of weeks from sign-up to send to give everyone plenty of time to get creative.
