September E Scavenger Hunt

The clocks fall back soon and the days shall be shorter, but Autumn is such a lovely season to enjoy with its vivid colours and crisp mornings that warm up into sunshiny days with the bluest of skies. This is a gentle nudge to notice all of the subtle nuances of Autumn that occur in September as the seasons begin to change.

For this swap we will be working through a photo scavenger hunt, capturing small, everyday moments as the month unfolds, nothing grand, nothing staged, just the kind of things you might otherwise walk past.

Use the provided September Scavenger Hunt list and take as many photos as you like but do aim for a minimum of 5 -10 images. These photos don’t have to be little works of art, just a casual snap using a camera or your phone.

Email your photos to your swap partner along with your descriptions of each image and add a note about what you most enjoy about the Autumn season.

All photos must be taken in September, by camera, phone, iPad, even film if you prefer; how you capture your images is up to you.

Once you sign up, you may begin taking your photos on September 1st even though the swap sign-up closes a little after that. Email your photos at the end of September, give yourself time to enjoy the entire month, you never know what you may come across and want to snap a photo of, so try not to hurry through this list but meander and just enjoy the observations.

A few gentle notes

This is about noticing, not perfection. Photos can be simple, slightly wonky, or beautifully ordinary. Think of this as a month of: wandering a bit slower, looking a bit closer and finding small, lovely things in ordinary places to share with your swap partner.
