I love fairies! The fairy related swaps have been wonderful. I noticed that there hasn't been a fairy bottle swap, so I decided to start one. You will make two fairy bottles and send one to each of your two partners. Making a fairy bottle is pretty easy. You take a bottle that is anywhere from 1 to 5 inches tall, and preferable pretty. Fill it with fairy related things. Ideas include: beads, glitter, colored water to swirl the beads and glitter around, gemstones and crystals, flowers, petals, items from nature, etc. Then decorate the outside of it, whether it is designing a label with a fairy design, or gluing a fairy charm to the outside. Tie some pretty fibers around the bottle neck and there you go! Feel free to get creative. As long as your partner sends you a small bottle that has been decorated in a fairy theme, rate them a five. This is an international swap. You must have a rating of 4.85 and absolutely no ratings of 1. Here is a link to fairy dust necklaces which are similar to fairy bottles. There are also some photos of beautiful fairy bottles found on Flickr http://familycrafts.about.com/cs/fairycrafts/a/082102a.htm http://www.flickr.com/photos/inilsailf/358530144/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/31413475@N00/1388616137/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/sunryse/847742519/ Just a hint, but one of the best ways to find small pretty bottles it those one shot liquor bottles. I have bought them only for the bottle, and poured out the alcohol. | |
