I have always wanted to visit Maine ever since I did a state project on it in 3rd grade. My husband also has an interest, so our next getaway may have to be to Maine. I would love to hear of some places we MUST see.
I too love sending and receiving post cards. From reading your profile I see you like trains and I have a post card I think you might like. If you are interested in it please message your address.
My grandfather has built model trains for years and always has an elaborate working set up. He also puts together miniature landscapes to go with the tracks. I have fond memories with him when it comes to trains.
I enjoy bluegrass music as well. My favorite instrument to listen to is the banjo. That might be because my dad played a little bit when I was younger.
Hello, I'm hamster person from Japan. It's cool and sunny this morning.

My bookclub read Alice in Wonderland last month and now we are on through the Looking Glass so my share is the wordjoy of the Jabberwocky poem By Lewis Carroll (crazy language-love it)
’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
“Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!”
He took his vorpal sword in hand;
Long time the manxome foe he sought—
So rested he by the Tumtum tree
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
“And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”
He chortled in his joy.
’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
Hi! I'm your partner for the "September Book Quote" swap. The name of the book is The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy
"They call themselves the May Mothers—a collection of new moms who gave birth in the same month. Twice a week, with strollers in tow, they get together in Prospect Park, seeking refuge from the isolation of new motherhood; sharing the fears, joys, and anxieties of their new child-centered lives.
When the group’s members agree to meet for drinks at a hip local bar, they have in mind a casual evening of fun, a brief break from their daily routine. But on this sultry Fourth of July night during the hottest summer in Brooklyn’s history, something goes terrifyingly wrong: one of the babies is taken from his crib. Winnie, a single mom, was reluctant to leave six-week-old Midas with a babysitter, but the May Mothers insisted that everything would be fine. Now Midas is missing, the police are asking disturbing questions, and Winnie’s very private life has become fodder for a ravenous media.
Though none of the other members in the group is close to the reserved Winnie, three of them will go to increasingly risky lengths to help her find her son. And as the police bungle the investigation and the media begin to scrutinize the mothers in the days after Midas goes missing, damaging secrets are exposed, marriages are tested, and friendships are formed and fractured."

'Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city' George Burns
Always gives me a good chuckle. With you saying how close you are with your family I thought this seemed fitting. Have a great day
