hi! my name is kora, i'm a nonbinary lesbian artist my 20s, and i love snail mail. being someone who is chronically online and living in a big city, it can feel like people are distant, even if they're all around me. getting something you can hold in your hands about it is a way i find i can combat that. i'm a frequent zinemaker, card sender, and letter writer, so finding this site was a delight!

i love emo music! if it's from the 2000s and was paired with black eyeliner and skinny jeans, i probably like it. my favorite bands are my chemical romance, bikini kill, fall out boy, the front bottoms, placebo, nine inch nails, and idkhow. i also like riot grrrl, punk, screamo, pop punk, and industrial.

all things horror! if i had to pick three, i'd say:

• IT, stephen king. you cant go wrong with a classic, even if its a total brick with some questionable content

• a head full of ghosts, paul tremblay. this novel knocked my socks off, the ending totally had my jaw on the ground

• my heart is a chainsaw, stephen graham jones. sgj is an insanely prolific horror author who loves the genre so so much, and nowhere is that more clear than in this slasher novel

honorable mentions: carrie (stephen king), battle royale (koushun takami), the troop (nick cutter), and cuckoo (gretchen felker-martin)

shocking, but all horror, too! i watch so many scary movies that we could be here all day, but some of my favorites of all time are: saw (2004), the battery (2012), the passenger (2023), a nightmare on elm street (1986), childs play (1988), re-animator (1985), IT (2017), the black phone (2021), halloween (1978), raw (2016), and terrifier 2 (2022).

horror not your thing? my non-horror favs are 10 things i hate about you (1999), dinner in america (2020), and rear window (1954).

i like making bracelets (kandi beads or embroidery thread), doing origami, screenprinting, and making zines! im also a "professional artist", so i like to draw occasionally, too.
