I'm a mom of 2 girls living in Maryland. I work full time in the publications industry, while running a small flower farm on the side! I am drawn to all things art, craft, and nature. I love learning new things and have a dream of one day building a cabin and everything in it with my own two hands.

I am a voracious reader of literary and historical fiction. I love memoirs of crazy and impressive feats. I have been to 44 US states and hope to complete the full 50 soon!

I love books that completely immerse you in a setting. I want to feel transported to another place and/or time. I also am drawn towards long sagas that follow a set of characters or a family through generations and centuries. Some of my favorite books are East of Eden by John Steinbeck, North Woods by Daniel Mason, and everything by Maggie O'Farrell and Barbara Kingsolver.

I am attempting to read all past winners of the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the Women's Prize for Fiction.
